Sections (12) (2) (a) (b) (c) of the Universities Act, Cap. 346 of the Laws of Tanzania, read together with Regulation 31 (2)(3)(4), give the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) the mandate to coordinate admissions to university institutions and standardise the criteria for admission into higher education institutions, in this case admission into postgraduate training programmes in Tanzania.

The application and admission process require an applicant to apply directly through the respective higher education institution of their choice. Programmes on offer and specific entry requirements for the programmes are available through the websites of individual higher education institutions.
