The Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU), through the Higher Education for Economic Transformation (HEET) Project, is proud to announce the ongoing construction of its headquarters in Dodoma City. Strategically located at Plot No. 56/4, Block ‘E’, Kisasa B-Center, the upcoming five-storey office building is designed to accommodate up to 100 staff members and will include a modern conference hall with a seating capacity for 70 participants.

This initiative reflects TCU’s commitment to enhance its services and strengthening the quality of higher education in Tanzania. The project began with the engagement of Ms. Mekon Arch Consult Ltd for design and supervision services in September 2023, followed by the engagement of Ms. Holtan Builders Limited as the contractor in November 2024. Construction officially commenced on 15 November 2024 and is scheduled for completion by 25 April 2026.

Environmental sustainability and social responsibility are at the heart of this project. The Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) has been approved by both the National Environment Management Council (NEMC) and the World Bank. The project adheres strictly to national environmental regulations and the World Bank’s Environmental and Social Framework.
