Some employees of the Tanzania Commission for Universities (TCU) today, on May 1, 2024, joined workers from various institutions in commemorating International Workers' Day at Uhuru Stadium in Dar es Salaam. Moreover, the national celebrations took place in Arusha, with this year's theme being "Salary Increment is the Foundation for Better Benefits and Protection Against Hardship of Life." 

International Workers’ Day is commemorated globally annually to pay tribute to the struggle of workers for their rights and decent working conditions.
